There are some things you can do to prepare to start the challenge on May 2 or 3rd. For the next few days, look at what you typically eat and drink. Just observe. Are you eating heavily processed foods? Sugar? Heavy on the animal fat and meat? How much water do you drink throughout your day?
Symptoms of detoxification:
You could experience mild or medium symptoms as you detoxify, although yoga will help to move this through your body much quicker. Some symptoms could include: mild cold symptoms, headache, change in your bowel movements.
I have detoxed so many times that I no longer experience much in the way of symptoms, oh, sometimes gas.
Everytime the seasons change, our body needs to adjust. Especially during the time of autumn-winter and winter-spring, we go through the most radical of changes.
What happens? We shed cells and make new cells. This shedding of old cells can sometimes overload our liver, lungs, circulatory system, kidneys... This is why so many people "catch colds" during these season changes. Cold symptoms could be a common cold, or they could be symptoms of the body detoxing.
The 28-day challenge will provide information for you to help your body through this change of season. You can pick and choose what works best for you. It is best to think of this time as a nurturing and healing time for your body. A time to rebuild and prepare your body for the more active and fun time of summer.
