NEW to Yoga? Never been to a studio or practiced yoga? Here's where to start. Attend either our Tuesday morning class at Dunn Bros or the 2 free classes at the Arboretum (see Home page for dates).
New students must take at least 5 beginner classes to learn the basics. Yoga isn't like a fitness class. There are things to learn like proper breathing, how to align your knees, hips, feet, shoulders in order to get the most energy from your poses and to prevent injuries.
Many people begin a yoga practice in a fitness yoga class and decide it's not for them or get hurt. We specialize in teaching proper alignment and safety so that you can practice yoga for a lifetime. There are many people who practice into their 80's, 90's even to 100 years of age because they started.
