In choosing a yoga study program, it is important to get a feel for the studio and the teacher - we are going to spend an extraordinary year together! This year of teacher training is a journey of personal growth and a gift to your true self.

12 weekend intensives for 200+ hr. Yoga Alliance equivalent. Students completing this program may apply for the Yoga Alliance registry. Scroll down for application for the program. Requirements: Minimum one year of yoga practice and application with deposit to be accepted.

Completion of this program qualifies you to apply for RYT 200 - and exceeds the standards set by the Yoga Alliance. All students completing the yoga study program will receive a letter of completion.

This is a one year program meeting on one weekend per month.
This is a 200+-hr. Level training.

I also agree that I am committed to completing this 12 month training by attending every (once-monthly) weekend workshop (or making arrangements to make-up a weekend you may have to miss--a maximum of ONE workshop weekend can be missed and made-up) However, this may delay completion of your program by several months. I also agree to pay the amount of $2,800 in tuition to Yoga Prairie, LLC either in a one-time payment by July 1st or in monthly automatic payments of $244. (Total of $2,928). Additional costs involved: Books, lodging & meals if traveling. (Karen will provide assistance in your application for Yoga Alliance registration.)
Application deposit of $344 must be received with your application (with your first month's payment). If you are paying the full tuition by June 15th, the application fee will be waived. No applications will be considered after July 1, 2008 Application fee is non-refundable.

Please keep a copy and send the original with application to Karen Soroko, E-RYT, 14337 Fairway Dr., Eden Prairie, MN 55344 with your deposit of $344 ($100 depost + $244 1st month tuition) for the YTT program (or full-payment). Contract must be returned no later than June 15, 2008. Deposit (in full) will be returned if you are not accepted into the program.
Buyer's Right to Cancel: If you apply for the Yoga study program and choose to withdraw at any point of the program, there will be no refund of feeds paid except for the following: If you are registered and cancel within 30 days of the beginning of the start date (start date is July 18, 2008), you will be refunded your first payment minus a $45 registration fee.
Each student must be notified of acceptance/rejection in writing (MN 141.271 Subd. 1a).
If a student is rejected, all tuition, fees and other charges shall be refunded (141.271 Subd. 1a)
If a student gives written notice of cancellation after five business days of the execution of the contract (when you sign & return it to Karen), a complete refund is given.
Notice of cancellation shall clearly state the date executed by student .
Notice of cancellation shall be acknowledged in writing within 10 days of receipt of such notice.
Refunds will be forward to student within 30 business days of receipt of such notice.
Notice of cancellation must include the name of the program, date of your signing the cancellation. There is a form to be filled out at the end of the following syllabus.
Participating in a yoga study program can be life-changing, and can impact your life greatly if you are fully committed to your own personal growth. It does not guarantee you a job as a yoga teacher, however, those who have completed this program do earn an income teaching yoga (except for one who chose not to). Total Hours of Classroom instruction: 192 hrs. Total (approximate) hours of home study and assignments: Minimum of 50 hrs assigned: includes 15-20 hrs. practice teaching, 20 hrs of yoga class observation, and approximately 10 hrs. of writing papers, and more of reading assignments (these hrs. depend on how much you read & how fast!)

Weekend Dates, Topics,
Class times generally will be: Fridays 4p.m. To 7:00 p.m. ; Saturdays 9:30 a.m. To 6:30 p.m. (with lunch break); Sundays: 10:00 a.m. To 3:30 p.m. (with lunch break) (approximately 16 hrs per weekend)
Class times may be flexible due to inclement weather, holidays, family emergencies, etc. In the past it has worked out that all students & teacher will agree upon the make-up time within a week of the weekend training so that the class does not fall behind in required hours of training.
Requirements for certification: Attendance at all 12 yoga study weekends, practice leading classes, assisting in 6 classes with approved teacher. Teacher evaluation, passing final written exam. Completion of all homework assignments consisting of reading for group discussion, personal practice, and writing papers.
