Samasati in Costa Rica - February 12-19th, 2010
All-inclusive tropical retreat situated in virgin rainforest, overlooking the Caribbean Sea - an Adventure that will satisfy all of your senses.

Includes:

Lodging for 7 nights with 3 Meals Daily, fresh vegetarian meals! - at Samasati in the rainforest Free shuttle to Village of Puerto Viejo daily, Arrangements for transfers to-from Airport (Cost $50 per person extra). Yoga twice daily in the Meditation Hall at Samasati. We will help you with all reservations & travel in Costa Rica - relax - we've done it before & you can just enjoy the journey!

Sample Schedule:   You can attend any of the following, but can always sleep in, nap, do whatever you want for yourself!

                              7:00 am Meditation;

                              8:00 am Ashtanga/Rocket/Vinyasa Yoga (All Levels except Beginner);

                              9:30 am Breakfast;

11:00 am relax or take a van down to the village of Puerto Viejo for shopping or schedule a tour (zipline canopy tour, river rafting, surfing, biking, take a scooter somewhere (rental)..., schedule a massage or reiki, visit a national nature center...infinite options!

2:00 p.m. Optional Workshops (pre-register so we can plan these in advance - not every day though - we want to explore Costa Rica!)

4:30 p.m. Gentle Yoga Class & Meditation

6:00 p.m. Evening Meal

7:30 p.m. Evening Workshop (optional - again, we'll plan one or two at this time)

The retreat center: www.samasati.com is a bit of heaven on earth- AND is considered one of the most sustainable, environmentally friendly resorts in Costa Rica! It is an amazing place to spend a week or more!

Extras: (does not include)

Airfare (varies - currently around $500 round trip)

1st Night hotel in San Jose (unless your flight arrives the morning that we leave for Samasati)

Transportation to & from Samasati is about $50 per person one way with a group

Tours - cost extra anywhere from $40 & up U.S.

Massages cost extra and are scheduled at Samasati (amazing massage therapist there!)

Yoga classes with Samasati's teacher (yoga class with Karen are included)

Shopping, scooter rentals, internet (in Puerto Viejo, nearby village)

Hotel if you fly out the next day in San Jose, Costa Rica

Airport fee to leave the country (about $35 U.S.)

Taxi ride (we can share - very inexpensive) to airport

Expect to spend around $2,000 to $2,500 minimum for this vacation. You could do it for a little bit less, email Karen for more information about that - (such as lodging in the group house, sharing hotel room in San Jose.. Buying your airline ticket at just the right time --30 days out is usually BEST - you can expect to pay up to $500 more if you do not book exactly 30 days out!

It is an unbelievable experience - Angus & I have been here twice and are completely in love with going there. I would live there in a heartbeat - especially in winters!

What's free or inexpensive? Beaches, walks in the rainforest at Samasati (stay in the paths & listen to any warnings first!), inexpensive treats await in nearby villages! ! ! Monkey & other rainforest sounds.
