Price does not include:

  • You are responsible for: your airfare and reservations to travel to San Jose, Costa Rica from wherever you are now.

  • Arriving in San Jose:  best to fly in on or before February 11th.  Angus & I will be staying at Orquideas Inn on February 11 and 19th.  You can make a reservation yourself online at www.orquideasinn.com  - that is where the van will pick us up to drive us to Samasati on the morning of February 12th.  Make sure you book your hotel at least 30 days in advance - I recommend booking earlier than that if possible.  It is possible to fly into San Jose in the wee hours of the morning and take a taxi to the hotel to meet the group - if you don't mind missing out on a nights' sleep.  Talk to Karen while you are considering reservations.  I have done it several times, I prefer shorter flights and staying in Orquideas Inn before and after the retreat so that I do not get tired or stressed out.  It is worth the extra cost of two nights in hotel.  You can always share your hotel room with others in the group to save money.

  • See more options below.

At Samasati:  Bring your snorkeling gear!  We know a great beach we can share a cab & show you where to snorkel!  (no extra cost besides the cab ride from Puerto Viejo-- that could be maybe 2-3 bucks a person one way when we share!)  This is such a great adventure!
